Howdy y'all, Here are some shots of a bike I recently rescued from my brother. It is a 1966 CA160 Dream which were built from 66-69. We bought it together in 1970 for $125 bucks...it was ridden a lot until 1974 when my brother stored it in his basement in NY. This what it is now, just 38 years later...I will resurrect it, I will restore it and the memories from my high school days, I rode it everyday to school in my junior and senior years!! I also found among my father's things this War Department manual for the Army issue .30 caliber M1903. If you notice at the top, it shows how you kept anyone from knowing it was restricted material...just cross it out with a pencil ROFLMAO!!! Can you say Homeland Security? The Shooters tip pamphlet was copyrighted in 1945 and offered a complete gun cleaning kit for $1....ahhh the good ole days!!! Howdy y'all, My Dad was a top rifle and small bore expert for the gun club he belonged to in the 1940's. These are a few of the marksmans medals and ribbons he was awarded but also the patch from when he shot in the Hearst Match in 1948. If you remember Patty Hearst of the famed revolutionist/kidnap debacle of the mid 70's...this rifle match was sponsored by her grand father William Randolph Hearst who owned the newspaper in Pittsburgh, PA. The title of this gallery translated literally is "The Great Northwoods" the northern most part of New Hampshire. I went to a place i was last summer called Beaver Falls outside Colebrook, NH. The falls were frozen over but you could still hear the water running underneath the ice...so kewl! Howdy y'all, Here is my finished Christmas Tree, it is not what I planned on as last night I strung the popcorn garland on it and my friends, the mice, decided to have a buffet. So I opted to decorate it as simply as possible. Howdy y'all, While putting up my tree today I found the remnants of pines cones after they have flowered and thrown their seeds. The small spikes you see are the stamen of the pine cone similar to the stamen on a regular flower....I think they look like little candles growing from all the branches...What do you think? Hoiwdy y'all, Went out this morning and cut down this beautiful conifer to decorate for my daughter and grand daughters. It is not perfect as the ones you buy but I think it will be amazing when adorned with the popcorn garland and red and green ornaments!
